Deka Design solves visual communications problems for a wide range of industries.
Dmitry Krasny founded Deka Design in 2001. His vision was to establish a true multidisciplinary design studio that crafts visual solutions across a spectrum of needs. We design for our diverse clientele and their audience, not other designers. We partner with great clients and provide highly relevant, customized solutions for their design needs.

We ask a lot of questions before taking on any project. If a client requests a new logo, we will first analyze what may not be working with the old one, and strategize a range of solutions. Every client, every project, every solution is unique. No templates here.

We design visual communications that are easy to read and understand. We consider every detail; information hierarchy, typography, color palette, image style, "voice" or tone of the piece. Ultimately, it's always about the content - the message.
Nothing is left to chance. Everything is deliberate. Everything is by DESIGN.

Dmitry Krasny has been on the faculty at Parsons School of Design where he has been teaching information design, typography, publication and book design classes since 1994. He served as Chair of Communication Design Department at KIDI, Kanazawa International Design Institute, Japan from 1999 to 2000. In the summer of 2006 he conducted an intensive, four-week Information Design seminar at the Central Academy of the Arts in Beijing, China. Dmitry Krasny’s commitment to critical thinking and research is one reason his designs are so innovative. When he’s teaching, he’s also creating. And vice versa.
